What this means in plain English
These terms define how you can use YAGO, what we're responsible for, and what you're responsible for. YAGO is a decision-support tool — it helps you work faster and see patterns, but it doesn't replace human judgment. You own your data. We provide the platform.
1. Using YAGO
You may use YAGO only in accordance with these terms and applicable laws. You are responsible for ensuring that:
- You have the right to upload and process the data you send to YAGO
- You comply with your employer's or organization's internal data policies and information security requirements
- You do not upload personal data without proper consent, or regulated data (such as health records, financial information) unless you have an Enterprise agreement with additional controls
- You do not use YAGO to store or distribute malicious, harmful, or illegal content
- Your use does not disrupt the service for others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for behaviour that violates these terms or harms the service. We may apply rate limits or usage controls to maintain service stability for all users.
2. Your data and our service
You own your data. YAGO provides the platform and processing.
- You grant YAGO a limited licence to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
- We do not claim ownership over the raw data you upload or the derived insights, visualizations, and metadata generated by YAGO from your data.
- Aggregated and anonymised metrics may be used to improve YAGO, but never in a way that identifies you or your organisation.
- We do not use your uploaded data to train AI models for external use or for other customers.
For more details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
3. Availability and changes
We aim to maintain commercially reasonable availability and reliability for YAGO. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access — maintenance, updates, or unexpected issues may occur.
Features may change, be improved, or be removed over time. Beta and preview features may evolve more rapidly as we gather feedback. If we make significant changes to core functionality, we'll aim to notify you through the product interface or by email.
For Enterprise customers, we can discuss service level agreements (SLAs) and uptime commitments as part of a custom agreement.
4. No guarantees on outcomes
YAGO is a decision-support tool. It helps surface patterns, highlight issues, and structure data — but it does not replace human judgement. You remain responsible for the decisions you make based on YAGO's outputs.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Operational decisions (scheduling, resource allocation, quality control)
- Compliance and regulatory decisions (audits, reporting, certifications)
- Strategic or financial decisions based on insights derived from YAGO
YAGO provides analysis and visualization. The interpretation and action remain your responsibility.
5. Plan limits and fair use
Each plan may include limits on file size, uploads, API calls, storage, or retention. See our Pricing page for current plan details.
Enforcement varies by plan:
- Free: Lower limits with stricter enforcement to support evaluation use cases
- Pro: Higher limits designed for operational teams with regular usage
- Enterprise: Custom limits and negotiated terms based on your workflow
We may apply fair-use protections to keep the service stable for everyone. If your usage approaches limits, we'll attempt to notify you and, where appropriate, may throttle access before suspending it entirely.
6. Termination
You may stop using YAGO at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms or if your usage poses a security, legal, or operational risk.
Data export and deletion:
- Where reasonable, we'll attempt to notify you before suspension and provide a way to export your data
- You will have a reasonable window (typically 14-30 days, depending on your plan) to export your data after termination
- After the export window, data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy retention schedules
Enterprise customers may have different termination and data retention terms as specified in their agreements.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as YAGO evolves. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
How we notify you:
- For minor or clarifying changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date
- For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we'll notify you by email or through a prominent notice in the product
Continued use of YAGO after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should stop using YAGO.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which YAGO Insight Studio is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For Enterprise customers, governing law and jurisdiction may be negotiated as part of a custom agreement to align with your organization's requirements.
