1. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account information – name, email address, and authentication details
- Uploaded content – CSVs, JSON files, and other data you choose to process with YAGO
- Usage data – feature usage, interaction events, performance logs
- Device and technical data – browser type, operating system, approximate region
We do not collect more than we need to deliver and improve the product.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate YAGO’s features
- Process and transform uploaded data into insights
- Improve speed, stability, and accuracy
- Communicate product updates, support responses, and important notices
- Protect our services from abuse and security threats
We never sell your data to third parties.
3. Data ownership
You remain the owner of the data you upload to YAGO.
Depending on your plan and configuration:
- Data may be stored in your workspace so you can revisit insights
- Data may be retained for a limited period for performance and reliability
- You may request deletion of specific datasets or your entire account
4. Data security
Security-by-design approach: YAGO is built with security as a core principle, not an afterthought. We follow least-privilege access patterns, isolate customer data by workspace, and maintain transparency about our compliance readiness without overclaiming certifications we don't yet hold.
We use modern security practices to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure storage managed by reputable cloud providers
- Access controls and role-based permissions in the application
- Logical data isolation per workspace and customer
While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we work to keep your data safe and continuously improve our safeguards.
5. Third-party services
To deliver YAGO, we may rely on third-party infrastructure providers, such as:
- Cloud hosting and storage
- Authentication providers (for example, Google sign-in)
- Email delivery services
These providers are only given the minimum information required to perform their function, and they do not own your data. Third-party services act strictly as data processors under our control — they have no ownership rights or independent use of your information.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure product usage.
What we don't do: YAGO does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing pixels. Cookies are used solely for analytics, product functionality, and improving your experience — not for surveillance or ad targeting.
You can adjust your browser settings to limit or block cookies, but some YAGO features may not work as expected without them.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Where possible, we aim to keep retention periods reasonable and transparent.
Retention by plan:
- Free workspaces: Shorter retention periods and limited persistence to support evaluation use cases
- Pro and Enterprise: Longer retention and configurable policies to support operational workflows
- Custom retention: Available under Enterprise agreements for regulated industries or specific compliance requirements
If you need specific retention or deletion rules, we'll configure them with you.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights over your data, including accessing a copy, requesting corrections, or requesting deletion.
How to exercise your rights: Contact us at privacy@yagoinsight.com with your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 14 business days) and guide you through the process.
9. Compliance readiness
YAGO is designed with enterprise and regulated environments in mind, but compliance requirements vary by customer, industry, and deployment context.
Current status: YAGO is not currently certified for GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2, or similar frameworks. We are building toward compliance readiness and can discuss specific requirements under Enterprise agreements.
For regulated use cases: If your organization operates under strict regulatory requirements, contact us to discuss additional controls, data handling assurances, deployment options, and compliance roadmaps.
